Mindfulness - Coping with Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression Symptoms

November 16, 2023 10:00 am to 12:30 pm

Learn about and practice body and breath-based techniques to increase presence, awareness, and decrease distressing symptoms related to stress or trauma.

Registration opens 10/30

This in-person workshop will focus on staff dealing with their own stress and trauma, as well as teach practices that can also be shared with youth.

This session is part of a Trauma-informed Practice series. Trauma-informed practice is a way of understanding and responding to the impact of trauma on children and adolescents. This workshop series will provide afterschool staff with the knowledge and skill-building opportunities to implement a trauma-informed approach in their programs.
