Activity Specialist - School Based Community Center

Summary

Beacon Community Centers provide academic and recreational opportunities to children, teens, and adults. The Beacon program is offered every weekday from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm on weekends, and extended hours during the summer and school holidays. 15 - 25 hours per week

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma, some college; 
  • background in sports, music, drama, dance, photography, crafts, arts, sewing, a plus; 
  • enjoy working with children

Duties

  • Work with Site Director and Assistant Director/On-site Supervisor to provide activities for children, youth, adults and seniors.
  • Assist with after school activities; help implement hands-on multi-sensory lessons and activities to children which are provided in the context of academically stimulating themes.
