Yvonne's Going Global

Dear PASE Friends and Supporters,

Writing this note finds me beaming with pride, and shedding some tears. Our amazing friend, colleague and PASE Associate Executive Director Yvonne Brathwaite will be leaving PASE to become Director of Programs at Global Kids.

Yvonne has been deeply engaged in PASE’s global learning work for the past 6 years, and we have been preparing for the time when the right opportunity would come along for her to pursue this passion.  How wonderful that this opportunity appeared at one of our close partners, Global Kids.  Evie Hantzopoulus, Global Kids’ Executive Director, sits on PASE’s Program Committee and is a valued colleague, and Global Kids partners with PASE on a number of our signature programs.

As you know, PASE is all about preparing people to do extraordinary work with young people – we take pride that one of our own will be doing just that, even though we will miss her terribly.

This is Yvonne’s last week at PASE.  Her incredible contributions to PASE over the past almost 20 years have had a substantive impact on, quite literally, every part of our work. Yvonne has been an extraordinary leader in our afterschool network, working closely with you, our valued partners and colleagues.  She has designed innovative programs, strengthened and expanded our partnerships, connected consultants to our work, managed our conferences, developed important resources for the youth-serving community, collaborated with CBO, government, higher education and foundation leadership, and Yvonne has added expertise, inspiration and joy to our team at PASE.

No one ever really leaves the PASE family, and we look forward to continuing to work, and play, with Yvonne!

Please join me in thanking Yvonne for all she has done for PASE, and in sending her our warmest wishes for continued success! -- Alison

PASE believes all kids deserve a safe, nurturing space during out-of-school time where they have opportunities to explore their passions while connecting with and learning from caring adults. We exist to improve the quality of afterschool programs for children and teens living in poverty.
