Educational Talent Search Program's Free Summer Programs

John Jay College of Criminal Justice's Educational Talent Search program is hosting two free summer programs for low income, first generation students with an GPA of 80 and above. The Summer Enrichment Program for 8th and 9th graders includes classes in math, English, computer application, dance, swimming, etc. The Space Jams program for 9th and 10th graders includes PSAT prep and multimedia classes. Both programs begin on July 6th and run through the month. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements. Deadline to apply is June 23, 2015. CodeNow Summer Workshop for High Schoolers

CodeNow has partnered with Bloomberg to host free computer programming workshop for New York City’s high school youth. The three-day workshop is designed for students with little or no programming experience and will provide them with the opportunity to build fun interactive games using Ruby and learn from top software engineers. The workshop takes place in New York City on July 11, 12 & 25 at a local tech company. Deadline for applications is June 26, 2015.
