Bank Street College of Education's Program Identity, Systems and Culture
Bank Street College of Education's Program Identity, Systems and Culture is an online workshop series that takes place April 3 - May 1, 2017. The workshop surveys the central concepts for the development of program identity, administrative systems, and staff culture. Participants are introduced to theories and methods used to design camp and afterschool programs and examine a diversity of approaches to describe and assess identity, systems, and culture. Topics include defining and assessing mission, philosophy, goals, organization and management, and branding and marketing. The series is asynchronous. Participants work at times that suit them best; however, there will be firm weekly due dates for assignments. The course instructors will act both as leaders and mentors by offering regular support, suggestions, and direction. Students should expect to spend 3-5 hours per week on coursework. Registration deadline is March 7, 2017. There are fees.
