Girls Write Now Personal Statement Workshops for NYC High School Girls

Girls Write Now (GWN) is offering free personal statement workshops for New York City high school girls from any of the five boroughs entering grades 10-12 Fall 2017. Personal Statements A-Z on July 11, 2017 focuses on crafting a powerful college essay in the student's own voice and style. Essay Editing Sessions on July 13 or July 14, 2017 are one-to-one sessions with a professional writer where students get feedback and editing tips on their essay drafts. Eyebeam Digital Day Camp

Eyebeam's Digital Day Camp (DDC17) invites 15-20 public high school students to join them for two weeks this July for their youth art and technology summer intensive. During DDC17, students will work alongside artist-educators and engage in hands-on workshops focusing on software, hardware, tools, careers in the field, and social topics around this year’s theme of Power. The camp runs on weekdays July 3 - July 14, 2017 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Participating students earn a $10/day stipend paid at program’s conclusion. Applications are due June 20, 2017. Apply online.
