2018 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Application

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides New York City youth between ages 14 - 24 with summer employment. SYEP participants work in a variety of entry-level jobs at government agencies, hospitals, summer camps, nonprofits, small businesses, law firms, museums, sports enterprises, and retail organizations. SYEP also offers workshops on job readiness, career exploration and financial literacy, and opportunities to continue education and social growth. Online applications are available on the DYCD website. Updates will also be posted to DYCD's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram sites. The deadline to submit an application is March 16, 2018. ​City Parks Foundation​ Internship Opportunities for High School and College Students

City Parks Foundation offers internship and apprenticeship opportunities each year for high school and college students. These opportunities connect students to tangible work and life skills as they work alongside City Parks Foundation staff to teach younger students in gardens, lead marine ecology lessons, support SummerStage programming, and provide logistical support to their team. 4th Annual Girls Leadership Summit

On April 4, 2018, the STARS Citywide Girls Initiative, a nonprofit collaborative funded by the New York City Council, will host its fourth annual Girls Leadership Summit at the High School of Fashion Industries in Manhattan. The event invites middle school and high school girls from the city's five boroughs and will offer a full day of speakers and seminars in career awareness, college access and leadership development run by nine of the city's leading nonprofits. The theme of this year's event, in response to current events, is "YOU: The Change Agent." RSVP to attend.
