​National Summer Learning Association Summer Learning Awards

Each year, the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) recognizes the outstanding work done during the summer months on behalf of our nation’s youth. Applications for the 2019 Summer Learning Awards are open now. Winning programs receive a $10,000 reward, generously provided by the New York Life Foundation and Lands' End, visibility during National Summer Learning Day and at the Summer Changes Everything national conference, and national and local media outreach, along with special spotlights in NSLA's Summer Times e-newsletter. Watch the Summer Learning Awards Kick-off Webinar for information about this year’s application and the application process. NSLA will announce winners during National Summer Learning Day celebrations in July 2019. Application deadline is December 21, 2018.

Options Institute College Access Trainings

Goddard Riverside’s Options Institute offers interactive professional development workshops covering the essential topics youth workers need in order to help students through the college process such as matching students to the best postsecondary opportunities, supporting students as they choose a career, and helping students pay for college. Additionally, Options Institute contracts with organizations to develop and provide training on college access topics. Options works with the New York City Department of Education and iMentor, among others. Visit the Options Institute website for more information.
