As PASE celebrates our 25th year, the 2018 PASE@PACE conference provided an opportunity for the afterschool field to gather as a community to reflect on our practice, discuss emerging trends, and rededicate ourselves to the transformative power of afterschool.

Over 390 afterschool leaders, educators, institutional funders, policy-makers, colleagues in higher education, and other stakeholders in afterschool attended this day-long conference devoted to the innovative programs and visionary leadership present in the afterschool field and the impact of afterschool services on children, their families, schools, and the community as a whole. This signature event included 43 engaging workshops, 25 exhibitors, and 2 dynamic keynote speakers.

Thank you to Dr. Christopher Emdin for a galvanizing keynote address on the realities of race and urban education and to Lisa Skeete Tatum for an honest discussion on how to best develop and promote women’s leadership across sectors.

A special thank you for Council Member Mark Tregyer for his welcoming remarks and to Pace University’s School of Education for once again partnering with us to make this conference a reality.

PASE believes all kids deserve a safe, nurturing space during out-of-school time where they have opportunities to explore their passions while connecting with and learning from caring adults. We exist to improve the quality of afterschool programs for children and teens living in poverty.
