Partnership for After School Education

To successfully manage groups, practitioners need to understand the underlying causes of common behavior problems.

In this foundational workshop, participants will explore these causes, learn developmentally appropriate strategies for managing challenging behaviors and make links to program policies regarding dealing with these behaviors. This session will emphasize the challenges and opportunities that exist in the summer setting

Patricia began her career in youth development while still in high school, working in an after school program as an activity specialist. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Patricia has held a variety of positions including program director (elementary school age program), program officer, multi-site supervisor and senior director of youth and community programs.
