Partnership for After School Education

Conflict resolution and effective communication are the cornerstones of healthy relations and program dynamics.

In this session, participants will:

  • Gain new strategies not only for dealing positively with conflict, but also for helping children and youth manage conflicts
  • Have the opportunity to practice conflict mediation skills through role-plays and active listening.

This session is intended for direct service staff.

Patricia began her career in youth development while still in high school, working in an after school program as an activity specialist. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Patricia has held a variety of positions including program director (elementary school age program), program officer, multi-site supervisor and senior director of youth and community programs.
