Partnership for After School Education

STEM lessons and activities encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking, which offer unique opportunities for afterschool educators to embed strategies for social-emotional learning and development.

Registration opens on Monday, February 7 at 9:00 am

In this session, afterschool educators will learn how to integrate teaching strategies that support youth participant development of leadership skills, a sense of responsibility, and critical interpersonal skills.

This session's intended audience includes staff who are new to STEM education or new to the afterschool field.

Rowena Kuo

Rowena Kuo is the Project Manager of Social Impact/Corporate Education Partnership at Discovery Education. She is a seasoned STEM educator and project manager with experience working with non-profit organizations and industry leaders across the world to promote education equity and improve STEM learning experience.
