Ellen O’Connell has worked at PASE since 1997 and serves on the senior leadership team as PASE’s Managing Director – Programs. In that role, she helps to develop and manage PASE’s capacity-building programs and staff. She has developed and led capacity building efforts in a variety of modalities from institutes and mini-courses to site-based consultations and coaching, from large-scale events to development resources and materials. Ms. O’Connell manages PASE’s DYCD Transition to High School contract, co-manages our Strengthening STEM program, and oversees PASE’s Summer Learning Initiative which strengthens summer educational opportunities, the development of the Afterschool Youth Outcomes Inventory, and the Dollars and Sense financial literacy initiative, among other programs. She is versed in staff supervision, supporting program quality, engagement, academic enrichment, STEM, college prep and girls' programming. Ms. O’Connell serves on the Board of Directors of Stoked Mentoring. Prior to PASE, she worked for Girls, Inc. of Lynn, Massachusetts coordinating school and center-based afterschool programs. A former elementary school teacher, Ms. O’Connell holds a BA from Williams College and an ME from Harvard University.
