A workshop for DYCD funded organizations

In order to register for this event you need to or first.

Creating engaging activities where everyone feels included and can participate is an essential element of youth development organizations.

Join this in-person session with accessibility and learning advocates to address attitudinal barriers towards disability equality. The group will explore inclusive language, Universal Design, and best practices for working with and supporting people with disabilities. This interactive workshop will inspire and challenge participants to enhance plans and strategies to be inclusive of a wide variety of learners.

Participants will gain a better overall understanding of accessibility and learn about techniques, language, and resources to build more inclusive activities within their programs.

This workshop is intended for DYCD funded organizations. DYCD Staff are welcome. This professional development opportunity is provided at no cost to you but has a value of $230 for DYCD. If you register for and are subsequently unable to attend this session you are responsible for cancelling your registration or risk being waitlisted for future events.
