Credit reports and scores can be confusing and difficult to navigate. It is a system built on taking advantage of communities and controlling access and opportunity. Working with a rigged system takes understanding the rules of the game and using them to our advantage to create our own story. We'll cover the quick history of credit, strategies to increase and manage your credit score, how to check your credit for free, and strategies to spot and take action on identity theft & incorrect information on credit reports.
You'll leave the session with ready-to-use lessons and instructional strategies for leading credit conversations with youth as well as tools for your own financial goals too.
