More Than a Lesson: Weaving SEL into STEAM Education

May 19, 2026 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

In this two-hour in-person workshop, participants will explore the connection between Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and STEAM.

In order to register for this event you need to or first.

Through guided discussions, collaborative activities, and hands-on STEAM lessons from HYPOTHEkids’ K–8 curriculum, participants will reflect on how SEL develops in real time through moments of challenge, collaboration, and student engagement.

Together, participants will work through real-world scenarios, share strategies from their own programs with each other, and discover how STEAM experiences create opportunities for students to develop skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, managing frustration, and celebrating each other’s ideas.

Participants will leave with concrete takeaways including ready-to-use HYPOTHEkids lesson plans and practical strategies they can bring back to their students right away.
