Restorative Practice Institute

January 30, 2025 — February 6, 2025

An Institute for DYCD funded organizations

In order to register for this event you need to or first.

This in-person 2-session Institute focuses on the approach and tools of restorative practice.

Restorative practice is an approach to build and maintain strong relationships across all community stakeholders. Participants will explore the Indigenous roots of restorative practice; its interpersonal, instructional, and institutional dimensions, and learn the fundamentals of facilitating community building circles to prevent and respond to harm.

The institute includes coaching sessions to support the application of restorative practices at your site or program.  Please note that content is scaffolded across both sessions, and full participation in both sessions and engagement in coaching is required.

Institute dates: January 30, 2025 and February 6, 2025 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on both dates.

This institute is intended for DYCD funded organizations. DYCD Staff are welcome. This professional development opportunity is provided at no cost to you but has a value of $900 for DYCD. If you register for and are subsequently unable to attend this session you are responsible for cancelling your registration or risk being waitlisted for future events.
