Seeing Each Other: Finding the Heroes Among Us Through Videography

This online interactive, dynamic two-hour professional development workshop equips after-school staff with simple, accessible tools to integrate video production into their programs as a powerful strategy for student engagement and mental health awareness. Participants will discover their existing skills and assets as they explore hands-on activities that help young people tell their own stories and connect with the community. The session emphasizes low-cost, easy-to-implement approaches using everyday technology, while offering practical facilitation techniques for immediate implementation. Participants will leave with adaptable project ideas that will build on the existing skills and assets within your participants that can be implemented easily. Projects will be introduced that explore empathy, resilience, and meaningful community dialogue. Bring your cell phone, bring your ideas, and get ready to participate.
