Building Resilience: Supports for Youth Mental Health

PASE and Child Mind are partnering to support CBOs in bolstering mental health support for youth and families. This unique and free opportunity offers comprehensive training, a curriculum, coaching, and peer support.

Fall 2024 Program Details

The Fall 2024 Building Resilience cohort will run from October to December 2024. Join us in building essential capacities for a more resilient community.

The program is designed to give staff the tools to deliver the Mental Health Skill-Building curriculum and promote students’ individual growth and resilience. CBO staff will learn to implement six modules that help students better understand and regulate their emotions, evaluate thoughts, make choices about their behavior, interact effectively with others, and use mindfulness practices to navigate stressful situations.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, you must:

  • Be located in Lower Manhattan (or serve youth and families that live in Lower Manhattan)
  • Identify 3-5 staff members to participate
  • Attend 2 days of training in person (Sept/Oct) and participate in additional coaching online
  • Commit to implementing all 6 curriculum modules, either as full workshop sessions or mini-lessons, from October 2024 through December 2024
  • Participate in a community of practice
  • Complete any evaluations or surveys
  • Provide usage data to the Child Mind Institute
