Summer Teaching Fellows
Through our Summer Teaching Fellows program, PASE recruits, trains, supervises, and pays stipends to college students who provide academic support and enrichment to programs in underserved neighborhoods in New York City.
PASE's Summer Teaching Fellows help children see learning as fun and add to their desire to excel in school. For the Fellows, this program provides hands-on teaching experience and exposure to the afterschool field, helping them to explore and cultivate their passion in working with kids.
The Fellows program also blends our college prep and summer learning work by improving connections between community organizations and higher education and cultivating a generation of future advocates for education and the afterschool field. Since 2004, PASE has worked with over 250 Summer Teaching Fellows who have collectively impacted over 22,000 kids in summer programs.
I didn’t expect to learn so much about myself and about working with kids in afterschool and teaching.
