Pickleball Stars is a growing NYC after-school enrichment program bringing the fun of pickleball directly to elementary schools across the city.

We’re looking for energetic, positive pickleball coaches who love working with kids ages 5–12 and want to help create an amazing after-school experience.

Our programs are about much more than learning pickleball. We get kids moving, laughing, building confidence, learning teamwork and sportsmanship, and discovering a sport they can enjoy for life.

Programs take place on weekday afternoons, typically between 2:30–5:30 PM, at schools throughout NYC.

We provide the curriculum, nets, paddles, balls, and equipment. You bring your love of pickleball, great energy, and enthusiasm for kids!

Qualifications

We’re looking for people who:

• Love working with children
• Play pickleball and understand the fundamentals of the game
• Are energetic, patient, dependable, and positive
• Are comfortable leading groups of children ages 5–12
• Can make learning fun and encouraging for beginners
• Are available weekday afternoons, generally between 2:30–5:30 PM
• Can travel to schools in New York City
• Communicate reliably and professionally

Previous coaching, teaching, camp, after-school, or childcare experience is a plus.

Duties

• Lead fun, engaging pickleball classes for children ages 5–12
• Teach pickleball fundamentals through games, drills, and age-appropriate activities
• Follow the Pickleball Stars curriculum while adapting activities to different ages and skill levels
• Create a positive, inclusive, encouraging environment
• Help children develop confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, coordination, and pickleball skills
• Set up and pack away nets, paddles, balls, and other equipment
• Maintain a safe and well-managed class
• Communicate professionally with Pickleball Stars staff and school partners
• Bring enthusiasm and FUN to every session ⭐
