Summary

Summary: The Saturday Night Lights (SNL) Coach plays a vital role in the development and coaching of our SNL Sports and Recreation Program, contributing to the growth and success of our organization.  

Location: 1257 Ogden Avenue Bronx, NY 10452
Position Type:  Part Time 
Expected Hours of Work:  Saturdays, 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm  

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, working towards AA or BA degree.
  • Strong knowledge of sports and recreation, with a minimum of one year of experience in organizing tournaments and working with youth. 

Duties

  • Coach activities related to sports & recreation.  
  • Coach annual tournament, participating in local & citywide tournaments & Olympics.  
  • Organize various sports clinics.  
  • Recruit youth for specialized teams.  
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in planning and organizing workshops for gym participants.  
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in supervising all of the activities that are held in the gymnasium.  
  • Monitor and keep an inventory of all recreational and sports supplies, including Game Room supplies.  
  • Attend staff meetings when scheduled.  
  • Submit weekly reports on a timely basis.  
  • Inform the Program Director of changes or any irregularities.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
