Position Overview
PASE seeks an experienced, strategic, and highly organized Senior Program Director to oversee a diverse portfolio of professional development programs for adults working across the youth development field spanning school-based, community based, and government funded contexts. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience designing, coordinating, or delivering professional development trainings, a strong background in youth development in school and community-based settings, familiarity with government funding, and the judgment to manage multiple concurrent projects at a high level of quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of related professional experience, including managing youth development or workforce development programs and staff.
• Experience in NYC school-based settings is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with DYCD funded programs and reporting requirements
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, curriculum development, and training delivery methodologies. Comfort with both in-person and virtual facilitation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and manage time effectively
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new tasks and challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems

Duties

Program Coordination and Delivery (50%)

• Own and oversee a portfolio of professional development programs including PASE’s DYCD-funded professional development contract, ensuring alignment with the needs of the field and organizational priorities.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement various programs including cohorts, standalone workshops, and large-scale events, from conceptualization to evaluation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing timelines, funders, and deliverables while maintaining quality and accountability across the portfolio.
• Navigate government contracting processes, including scopes of work, deliverables, reporting requirements, and budget/contract compliance.
• Develop and facilitate sessions for special projects and events.

External Relations and Network Engagement (25%)

• Build and maintain partnerships with consultants, afterschool professionals, funders, and other key stakeholders to enhance the impact and reach of programming.
• Represent PASE externally at coalition meetings and convenings.

Supervision and Team Leadership (25%)

• Supervise and support program staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
• Work closely with program leadership to identify and respond to emerging trends, develop responsive programming, and use participant feedback for continuous improvement.
