Conversations About Race

Posted by Anne Cleary

On September 19, 2017, PASE hosted Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum, President Emerita of Spelman College and acclaimed psychologist and author, for a deeply powerful discussion in honor of the 20th anniversary of her best-selling novel: Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race.

In an engaging conversation, Dr. Tatum explained how to support the racial identity of students of color, while learning to navigate through present day racial tension.

Watch video highlights of the event as well as full video coverage of the conversation with Dr. Tatum which provides practical suggestions on how to promote antiracist discussions.
