Marcia is Retiring
Dear PASE Friends and Supporters --
I wanted to let you know that our dear Chief Operating Officer, Marcia Smith, is retiring from PASE. Being the fabulous Marcia we all know, she gave us loads of time to prepare and has worked with all of us over the past few months to ensure a successful transition, but today is her last day.
To say we will miss Marcia is a massive understatement. She has quite literally been part of PASE since its first days, and the organization we are today bears her indelible imprint. For over 25 years Marcia has led, advised, organized, cajoled, and mentored all of us at PASE. We are a stronger nonprofit, with far greater impact because of Marcia. A lawyer by training, an adorer of Airedales, an appreciator of fine white wine, a world-class friend, and a deeply engaged member of her community, Marcia is a rare gem.
As many of you know, in addition to directing the operations of PASE, Marcia is the Event Queen, running our annual PASEsetter Awards Benefit, annual conference, and so many more PASE receptions, celebrations, large-scale meetings, resource fairs, and forums. After managing 20 PASEsetter galas, and working with 100 PASEsetter winners, I am so looking forward to the 2019 PASEsetters when Marcia will attend for the first time as our guest. And, I am thrilled to announce that Marcia will receive an honorary PASEsetter Award at the event on February 26, 2019.
Please join me in thanking Marcia for dedicating 25 incredible years to improving the lives of young people in New York City, and in wishing her and her wonderful husband Ken every happiness together in this next phase of their lives!
With warm regards -- Alison
