Student Historian Internship Program

New-York Historical Society is recruiting New York City metro area high school students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 for their in-person 2024-2025 Student Historians program. Student Historians conduct in-depth research and share their scholarship through the production of creative digital projects that serve as public educational resources, this year focused on the theme of Our Composite Nation: Frederick Douglass’ America. Interns meet with professional staff to learn about the museum, library, digital humanities, and history fields; and work collaboratively with fellow students to develop their historical thinking, communication, and digital media skills. All interns will receive a $700 stipend upon successful completion of the internship. Learn full details and apply on their website by September 22, 2024.
