Afterschool Alliance Youth Ambassadors

The Afterschool Alliance has opened recruitment for their fifth cohort of Youth Ambassadors. Youth aged 13 and older are invited to submit their afterschool story as part of their nationwide call to amplify youth voices. Responses can be anything from a written essay or poem to a piece of artwork to a video or podcast—whatever media allows youth to express themselves and how they are feeling. By submitting a response, youth qualify for the chance to win a $40 Amazon gift card and those whose pieces are published in full by the Afterschool Alliance will receive a $75 stipend. Additionally, some respondents will be invited to apply to become a 2021-2022 Afterschool Alliance Youth Ambassador, an exciting opportunity for youth who want to engage in advocating for afterschool at the local, state, and national levels.
