The Octavia Project Summer Institute is a free summer program inviting young women and trans, nonbinary, and/or gender non-conforming youth ages 14-18 to use science fiction to build connections between STEM and the arts in their daily workshops. The Octavia Project Summer Camp is free and open to all young women, trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming youth who will be in grades 6-8 next school year. Participants will create, explore, take field trips, and have fun in daily workshops that combine science, tech, art, and writing! Camp will be held in person at the Urban Assembly Institute in Downtown Brooklyn from July 5, 2022 - July 28, 2022. The early bird deadline to apply for both programs is April 5, 2022. Applications will then be reviewed on a rolling basis until April 30, 2022.
