Bereavement & Belonging Series: Supporting Middle School Youth Through Loss

Youth Communication has partnered with New York Life Foundation to provide workshops, resources, and a toolkit for helping youth and the adults who support them to process grief, loss, and bereavement. On May 24, May 31, and June 7 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Youth Communication will host a free three session series for staff who work in afterschool programs with middle school youth on grief and bereavement, their relationship to social and emotional learning, and the cultural connections that affect them. This series is designed to underscore the role of caring adults in the grief and bereavement process, as well as to gain an understanding of what middle school afterschool programs can do and need to best support grieving students and staff. Participants must attend all three sessions. Learn more and apply.
