Campaign for Children and Citizens’ Committee for Children Issue Survey

Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York commissioned Global Strategy Group on behalf of the Campaign for Children to poll New Yorkers to gain insight into how they are managing to meet the needs of their children and families in the current economic climate and whether or not they want child care, after-school, and summer programs to be prioritized by the City administration. The poll of 800 New York City voters shows that New Yorkers want the city to invest more in these programs in order to address the economic strain that households across a wide range of income levels are under. The pool also highlights that New Yorkers believe these services are critical for parents to participate in the workforce and children to succeed academically. Download the poll results.
