Spring 2020 Scholars Program: Bill Graham Music

New-York Historical Society is offering a program, Bill Graham: Rock and Roll Revolution, for high school students, grades 9-12. The program takes place on Tuesdays, March 3, 2020 – May 26, 2020 from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Participants learn to code their own musical experience using contemporary beats mixed with archival sounds from concert footage and interviews with Bill Graham, one of the most influential music promoters in history, who worked with Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead and the Rolling Stones, to create a one-of-a-kind musical experience. This project culminates in a live-DJ jam in the experiential spirit of Graham’s concerts. There is a fee to attend. Full and partial scholarship opportunities are available to applicants who qualify. Apply by February 17, 2020. Contact teens@nyhistory.org or (212) 873-3400 ext 356 with any questions.
