Free Arts and Leadership Development Programs for Bronx Girls & Young Women

New Settlement Apartments' Program for Girls & Young Women offers free classes after school and weekends for girls and young women (ages 11-YA) in the Southwest Bronx. Programming includes dramatic writing and performance, reproductive health and healthy relationships, financial literacy, sports and adventure learning, dance (Hip-Hop), poetry, college prep, and more. Young women in high school may earn a stipend for certain leadership programs, but spots are limited. An orientation for their fall semester takes place September 20, 2016, from 6:30pm - 7:30pm, at 1514 Townsend Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452.
