Global Kids Annual Youth Conference

The 2019 Global Kids Annual Youth Conference on Criminal Justice Reform will be held on May 23, 2019 at Hunter College. This full-day, youth-organized and youth-led event will bring together over 500 young people from public schools across New York City, Washington, DC and beyond to explore human rights, criminal justice, and efforts for reform both locally and globally. Participants will develop strategies to create change on these important issues both inside and outside their communities. Plenary sessions will feature speakers and creative performances while workshops will cover such topics as the impact of the war on drugs, prisoner's rights, racism and discrimination, incarceration of minors, political prisoners, and more.
