Out-of-School Time NYC Reads Toolkit

Are you an out-of-school time (OST) provider looking for new ways to approach literacy development in your programs? Check out the Out-of-School Time NYC Reads Toolkit, developed by the Center for Public Research and Leadership (CPRL), DYCD, ExpandED Schools, NYCPS and the Office of Community Schools. This new resource celebrates and builds on existing literacy supports already happening in afterschool programs, highlighting the powerful role out-of-school time (OST) educators play in students’ literacy journeys. With ready-to-use tools, planning templates, and real-world spotlights from NYC programs, the toolkit supports OST-school collaboration and joyful, coherent literacy experiences for every child.
