Reel Works Winter & Spring Workshops
Reel Works’ free filmmaking and workforce readiness workshops support and prepare New York City youth with essential insights and skills needed to make their films or work in the media industry. Reel Works students receive hands-on training, learn from professional filmmakers, and use professional equipment to make festival-worthy films. Currently, Reel Works is highlighting three upcoming opportunities: The Dual Language Screenwriting Lab, a 12 week screenwriting workshop taught in English and Spanish for bilingual high school students, Sound Lab: Podcasting, a 12 week workshop on podcasting and sound design, and Film School Friday Intensives, 6-week advanced workshops designed to equip aspiring filmmakers with the fundamental tools of lighting, animation, or social media content creation.
