Summer Learning Recruitment Guide

The National Summer Learning Project, a collaboration between five urban school districts and their community partners, the RAND Corporation, and the Wallace Foundation, has found that five-week, high-quality, voluntary-attendance summer learning programs can help students improve in math and reading. A new website and written guide, Summer Learning Recruitment Guide, offer tools and advice for districts and their partners to encourage students and their parents to sign up for a program. Information includes eight keys to successful recruitment all based on the experience of the districts in the National Summer Learning Project.
