The Nonprofit Board Leadership Program
Run by the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise and Climate Change, The Nonprofit Board Leadership Program (NBLP) connects Columbia Business School students, alumni, and nonprofit executives through mutually beneficial partnerships and resources. The Year-long Partnership Program matches teams of 2-3 students with a nonprofit partner to focus on 1) a pro bono consulting project that invites students to creatively solve problems, identify opportunities, and explore their potential impact in a nonprofit setting; and 2) exposure to board leadership through observation of board meetings and mentorship from a board member. While providing space for applied student learning, nonprofit leaders and Board mentors also benefit through valuable insights and meaningful relationships with the next generation of board leaders. You can find more information about the partnership program on the program structure and timeline and see sample projects on the NBLP projects page. Submit your application to be a 2024-25 nonprofit partner via this electronic form by August 15, 2024.
