Winter Pay-What-You-Can Creative Writing Workshops

Uptown Stories winter workshops are just four weeks long — the perfect chance for students to dip their toes into creative writing magic! Students will adventure through the Washington Heights community in Our Uptown, as they learn to see the world through the eyes of a journalist and translate their experiences into words. For the second year, Uptown Stories will partner with the Met Cloisters to offer Poetry at The Met Cloisters. If students want to learn to make just a few words pack a punch, join One Page Wonder, and they can showcase some real action and artistry in the brand-new one-week workshop, Anime: IKŌ, where they can create their own manga. All workshops are Pay-What-You-Can for every family, and you can register today on the Uptown Stories website.

PASE believes all kids deserve a safe, nurturing space during out-of-school time where they have opportunities to explore their passions while connecting with and learning from caring adults. We exist to improve the quality of afterschool programs for children and teens living in poverty.
