Write the Future: Be a Mentee or Mentor at Girls Write Now

Girls Write Now is accepting applications for their 2018-2019, year-long mentoring programs. Girls Write Now is a dynamic, multi-generational community of women on a mission. High school girls and gender non-conforming youth will be matched with women professional writers and media makers in high-impact mentoring relationships. Teens learn to find their voices and share their stories through poetry, memoir, essays, and multimedia narratives. Creative and inspired teen girls and gender non-conforming youth who will be in grades 9-12 next year, and who attend New York City public high schools, apply to be a mentee. Diverse and passionate women writers and media makers, apply to be a mentor. The priority deadline for applications is June 1, 2018. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
