Listen4Good is offering a free capacity-building opportunity to help local nonprofits strengthen how they gather, analyze, and act on feedback from the people at the heart of their work. Sponsorships will be available for nonprofits to join Listen4Good’s feedback program at no cost. Nonprofits interested in learning more are invited to join an upcoming information session on October 1, 2026 or October 5, 2026. Attendees will learn about the opportunity, how feedback can support stronger programs and decision-making, and how to get involved. Pickleball Stars, a new Brooklyn-based after-school enrichment program founded by Laura Moreno and Anthony Rodriguez, is bringing pickleball to elementary school students across New York City. The programs introduce kids to pickleball through fun, high-energy sessions designed for all skill levels. Beyond learning serves, rallies, and the fundamentals of the game, kids build confidence, coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love of being active. Pickleball Stars is growing and excited to connect with more schools, after-school providers, and youth organizations across New York City. Coaches, paddles, nets, balls, curriculum, and energy are provided — partners recruit the kids and provide the space. Programs can be adapted for different ages, group sizes, and facilities. Participants will gain practical strategies, proven fundraising approaches, and actionable tools to unlock new resources, engage board members as strategic drivers of fundraising and philanthropy, and position their organizations for sustainable growth in an ever-evolving philanthropic landscape. SUNY is seeking applications for the inaugural cohort of SUNY College Access Ambassadors, a new initiative designed to strengthen college access and FAFSA completion efforts across New York State. The program supports high school and college access counselors who have demonstrated success in helping students navigate the path to higher education, including increasing college-going and FAFSA completion rates. Selected ambassadors will serve a one-year term beginning in July 2026, receive a $7,500 stipend to support their work, and be recognized by the SUNY Chancellor for their contributions to student success. Ambassadors will also share effective practices, tools, and resources with counseling professionals statewide through presentations, videos, and other professional learning opportunities. Applications are due June 18, 2026. 

The Gilder Lehrman Institute’s citizenship resources provide a free collection of study materials designed to help learners prepare for the U.S. naturalization civics test. The site includes interactive practice quizzes based on the official civics questions, along with videos, historical context, and educational resources that strengthen understanding of U.S. history, government, and civic participation. Users can test their knowledge through both short quizzes and full-length practice exams that mirror the structure of the naturalization test. Beyond test preparation, the materials help learners build a deeper understanding of the rights, responsibilities, and historical foundations of American citizenship.
