For many parents, conversations with young people––particularly around relationships, sex and sexuality, and technology use in relationships––can feel challenging or unfamiliar. For this reason, the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault is planning a Train the Parent Workshop series and is looking for parent and caregiver input to inform the topics and approach. Youth professionals can support this effort by sharing this short survey with parents and caregivers in their networks. The survey will be open until January 25, 2026.  

Through the Elevate Play initiative, Playworks, NJ/NY Gotham FC, and The Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund are teaming up to make play, joy, and connection more accessible than ever — bringing 10,000 youth, educators, and caregivers to Gotham FC home games during the 2026 season (March 2026 –October 2026). Participating schools and organizations will receive free tickets to a Gotham FC home game at Sports Illustrated Stadium (Harrison, NJ) and food vouchers, with potential transportation support on a case-by-case basis. Groups can use this opportunity for a range of purposes, including youth field trips, staff appreciation outings, family engagement events, and more. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Make a request for your group via this interest form. 

Are you a NYC Public Schools arts vendor? The New York City Arts in Education Roundtable  has extended the deadline to be included in a database of arts and cultural partners. Expected to launch in 2026, the “Creative Compass” platform will be a series of interactive maps and dashboards about arts education in NYC public schools. The platform will feature a searchable database of NYC Public Schools vendors and their programming in the areas of dance, music, theater, visual arts, film, literary arts, and cultural arts. Complete the form by December 19, 2025 to be added to the platform. 

Curious about how various youth-serving systems can collaborate and coordinate to help youth thrive? Join Connected for Kids on November 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM for their virtual launch event. Led by Child Trends and the Thrive Center at Georgetown University, this new national effort will bring together leaders across education, health, youth development, mental health, and community development to co-create a shared roadmap for flourishing in the elementary years. Join the conversation to hear from national leaders about how we can build a more connected, coordinated approach to help every child grow up healthy, supported, and full of possibility. Join Everyday Democracy and Civics Unplugged on November 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM for a virtual panel discussion, “Gen Z and the Future of Democracy.” The conversation will feature two youth organizing leaders and their perspectives on a range of topics, including messaging that resonates with young people (and that pushes them away), the role of online spaces and misinformation, and how older allies can better partner with and engage youth.
