Mizzen by Mott

Mizzen by Mott is a new app built with and for afterschool professionals to provide high-quality, engaging learning content and tools to the field. To meet the needs of this moment, the Mizzen team has added new activity playlists and multi-week modules that can be done at home or in small-group settings. Through support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, this all-in-one tool is free to afterschool educators who are empowering young learners everywhere.

Remote Quality Reflection Tool

BellXcel and The Sperling Center for Research and Innovation (SCRI) have created the Remote Quality Reflection Tool to assess and understand remote program quality. This tool is publicly available to empower any program to drive improvement through identifying areas of strength and progress on research-based indicators. They believe that the use of this tool will help to increase the collective knowledge base of remote learning.

Quick Action Consulting

As part of their continued sector-wide response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Community Resource Exchange (CRE) is sponsoring 10 Quick Action Consulting projects for nonprofits serving New York City communities that have been the most impacted by COVID-19. Quick Action Consulting is a customized and targeted consultation that offers support for individual nonprofits in 20-hour engagements, consisting of 3-4 sessions delivered virtually. This offering is grounded in a goal-focused assessment that moves one or two organizational or leadership priorities towards viable decisions and action. Focus areas may include topics such as scenario planning, crisis management, integrating equity in organizational systems and processes, developing and adapting HR policies and practices, team effectiveness, and contingency budgeting.
