Bottom Line's Access application is currently open to high school juniors. Bottom Line is a nonprofit dedicated to helping students get into college, graduate, and launch successful careers. They offer a comprehensive five- to seven-year program that provides students with free, one-on-one, individualized advising throughout the college application process until college graduation. To be eligible, students should be a junior in high school who will be a first-generation college student, have a 75+ GPA, plan to obtain a 4-year degree, and meet income eligibility requirements. Bottom Line will host two virtual information sessions on May 28, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, and May 29, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Students, educators, and families can register here to attend. The YA-YA Network is seeking passionate, motivated young people (ages 15-19) interested in activism and social justice to join their Summer Institute. The Summer Institute takes place Tuesday, June 30, 2026 - Thursday, August 13, 2026 , Monday – Thursday from 10:00 AM – 4:00PM each day at their Manhattan location (135 West 36th Street, New York, NY 10018). Summer Institute is a radical learning experience through which participants learn how to take on a leadership position in social justice movements. In this 7-week stipended program, youth are trained in anti-oppression, organizing skills, and political education through transformative workshops and visits to city-wide organizations fighting for change. This is a great opportunity both for youth new to advocacy and organizing, as well as those with more experience.  Submit an application by the final deadline of June 8, 2026.  

The Bell is accepting applications for the 7th annual Summer Youth Podcast Academy through May 17, 2026. This three-week summer workshop for 9th through 12th graders offers immersive, hands-on training for students to create original podcast episodes. Participants will also receive mentorship from professional storytellers, editors, and producers. The program will take place July 27, 2026 – August 14, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily in their Lower Manhattan location. Participants will receive a $500 stipend and daily lunch allowance. CAT Youth Theatre (for rising 9th - 12th graders) and Junior Youth Theatre (for rising 6th - 8th graders) are both currently looking for new members to join for the fall semester. CAT Youth Theatre is an award winning after school theatre program that creates original plays based on the ideas of the members, focusing on topics they care about. Participation is free to all members and there is no audition to join. Members are asked to commit to attend sessions regularly and to contribute as a member of the CAT community by bringing ideas and a willingness to work with others. Programs take place near Herald Square in Manhattan and the studios are wheelchair accessible. Read more info and apply via their application form. Institute for Citizens & Scholars’ Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness program is looking for young people between the ages of 14 and 24 to create bold, fresh civic solutions in their own communities. In 2026, 500 young civic changemakers from across the country will form 100 teams to lead community projects. This year’s cohort will focus on building three essential civic skills: having productive conversations, using credible information, and collaborating to create solutions. Participants will receive regular coaching and mentorship and will join an ongoing virtual peer network. Projects are eligible for up to $7,500 in funding.
