Putting Data to Work for Young People: A Framework for Measurement, Continuous Improvement, and Equitable Systems

Developed by Every Hour Counts, the framework updates a tool created in 2014. The heart of Putting Data to Work for Young People: A Framework for Measurement, Continuous Improvement, and Equitable Systems is 11 desired system outcomes, some or all of which organizations might want to measure progress toward, depending on their needs and circumstances. Five are directly related to overall system work and include whether a common goal for afterschool has been established. Three regard the efforts of programs, stressing, for instance, that they use management practices that enhance program quality. And three are related to young people—the rate of youth participation in programs, among them.

A Blueprint for Women's Civic Engagement in New York City

Women Creating Change (WCC) has released a new report, A Blueprint for Women’s Civic Engagement in New York City: Toward a More Just and Equitable Democracy. The report is designed to better understand how social and economic inequity shape women’s political participation, to inform WCC’s programmatic and policy priorities, and to urge their partners (past, current, and future) in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors to join them in their mission to foster women’s civic engagement and build a more equitable NYC.
