Are you an organization that supports girls and women in sports and/or education? Consider applying for the Gainbridge Assists Powered by Parity grant program. In honor of the $5,000 check Billie Jean King used to start the Women’s Sports Foundation® 51 years ago, Gainbridge®, Parity, and the Women’s Sports Foundation will award 32 total grants of at least $5,000 each, totaling $222,000, to organizations and Parity Athletes dedicated to advancing girls and/or women in sports and/or education. In addition to the community grants, a $50,000 grant will be awarded in Billie Jean King's honor to one standout organization. Applicants should be located in the U.S., be able to share their impact through storytelling and social media, and be able to implement the grant in November 2025. The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) has released the concept paper for the Comprehensive After School System Elementary (COMPASS) and School’s Out New York City (SONYC) programs in public schools and other settings. The primary purpose of the COMPASS and SONYC programs is to provide a range of engaging enrichment activities, after school and during holidays and the summer, to help students in kindergarten through Grade 8 to thrive and to support families with childcare. The concept paper is a precursor to a Request for Proposal (RFP), which DYCD anticipates will be released in Fall 2025. The concept paper can be found via PASSPort procurement navigator and DYCD is eager to hear community feedback in order to inform the RFP process. Comments should be submitted via the feedback survey no later than July 11, 2025. 

Decolonizing Wealth Project is launching the Youth Mental Health Fund (YMHF) – a culturally affirming initiative focused on expanding access to community-based mental health care for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth between the ages of 12-24. In addition to supporting community-based programs and partnerships, YMHF will also fund work to shift narratives around care and programs that offer culturally grounded healing experiences that center the unique needs and strengths of marginalized youth living at the intersections. The funding will prioritize three areas: 1) community-based programs, 2) cultural-based healing, and 3) advocacy and awareness campaigns. UpTide, a nonprofit accelerator through 92NY, has a cohort opportunity for five nonprofit leaders from diverse, community-building organizations across the country looking to significantly scale the impact of their programs. This opportunity includes a $5,000 unrestricted grant, a weeklong retreat in NYC, support with communications, strategic planning, and governance, mentorship, and access to a robust network. The Educating All Learners Alliance (EALA) launched the 2025 cycle of their New Champions Fund opportunity, an unrestricted competitive sub-grant and year-long mentorship to support leaders of color, or allies of the equity in education movement, who are actively working to support students with disabilities. In addition to a $35,000 grant and mentorship to accomplish strategic goals, the recipients will have opportunities to spotlight their work on a national level through media, podcasts, webinars, and national events.
