Request for Proposals - 21st Century Community Learning Centers

The New York State Education Department has issued a Request for Proposals for 21st Century Community Learning Centers funding, the largest funding stream for afterschool and summer programs across New York State. The due date for application submissions is November 14, 2016 at 12:00 pm. The grant period is 5 years and is anticipated to begin July 1, 2017 and end June 30, 2022, subject to availability of funds from the United States Department of Education and satisfactory performance of the grantee in the previous year. ​Robert Rauschenberg Foundation​'s 2017 Artist as Activist Fellowship

Robert Rauschenberg Foundation invites creative professionals who use their practice to address the intersecting issues of racial justice and mass incarceration to seek up to $100,000 in support. The Artist as Activist program provides resources to artists of all disciplines, including visual, performing, media, design, and other creative professions, who address important global challenges through their creative practice. Applicants should present works that highlight the need for further and more aggressive reform on issues such as, but not limited to, immigrant detention, policing, and the privatization of prisons. Deadline to apply is December 5, 2016.

The Public Funding News page will feature up-to-date information on state funding for expanded learning opportunities, such as afterschool and summer programs. The page will include open state funding opportunities and the expected timeline for other funding streams.
