2019 Obama Foundation Fellowship

The Obama Foundation Fellowship supports outstanding civic innovators – leaders who are working with their communities to create transformational change, addressing some of the world’s most pressing problems. The program selects 20 community-minded rising stars from around the world for a two-year, non-residential program, designed to amplify the impact of their work and inspire a wave of civic innovation. Applications will close on September 18, 2018 at 10:00 am Central Time.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Cooke College Scholars receive up to $40,000 per year, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to network with the larger Cooke Scholar community. All scholarship application materials must be submitted before the deadline on November 20, 2018 at 11:59 pm in the student's local time zone. 2019 Roddenberry Fellowship

The Roddenberry Fellowship is a 12-month program for 20 activists, changemakers, and organizers from across the United States who are tackling one of these four issue areas: Civil Rights; Environmental Protection; LGBTQIA & Women’s Rights; and Immigration & Refugee Rights. Fellows will each receive a $50,000 award, as well as tailored support to implement a project or initiative that has direct impact in one of these four areas. Show Us Your Generation: A Photo Contest for Teenagers

The New York Times invites 13 - 19 years old, from anywhere in the world, to take photographs that depict some aspect of teenage life that they think may be misunderstood, ignored or largely unknown, and, in a short artist’s statement, tell them why. Winning work will be published on The Learning Network and will be eligible to be published in print in the November 2018 Learning special section. 2018-19 NBA Math Hoops Uniondale, NY Training

NBA Math Hoops is a fast-paced basketball board game and mobile app that allows students to learn fundamental math skills through direct engagement with the real statistics of their favorite NBA and WNBA players. 2018-2019 LEDA Scholars Application

The LEDA Scholars Program supports high-achieving students from low-income families in gaining admission to selective colleges. Each year, LEDA recruits high school juniors from all over the country, and hosts them for a completely free seven-week Summer Institute on the campus of Princeton University where they receive academic preparation, leadership development, SAT/ACT prep, and intensive college guidance counseling. Submission deadline is December 10, 2018 at 11:59 pm (PST).
