2019 Obama Foundation Fellowship

The Obama Foundation Fellowship supports outstanding civic innovators – leaders who are working with their communities to create transformational change, addressing some of the world’s most pressing problems. The program selects 20 community-minded rising stars from around the world for a two-year, non-residential program, designed to amplify the impact of their work and inspire a wave of civic innovation. Applications will close on September 18, 2018 at 10:00 am Central Time.

2019 Roddenberry Fellowship

The Roddenberry Fellowship is a 12-month program for 20 activists, changemakers, and organizers from across the United States who are tackling one of these four issue areas: Civil Rights; Environmental Protection; LGBTQIA & Women’s Rights; and Immigration & Refugee Rights. Fellows will each receive a $50,000 award, as well as tailored support to implement a project or initiative that has direct impact in one of these four areas. Application deadline September 19, 2018 at 5:00 pm Pacific.

2018-19 NBA Math Hoops Uniondale, NY Training

NBA Math Hoops is a fast-paced basketball board game and mobile app that allows students to learn fundamental math skills through direct engagement with the real statistics of their favorite NBA and WNBA players. The NBA Math Hoops curriculum is tied to Common Core State Standards and 21st Century Learning Skills. To learn more about the program, attend the September 12, 2018 training at Nassau Coliseum.
