New York Life Foundation AIM High Grants for Middle School Programs

In partnership with the Afterschool Alliance, the New Life Foundation will award 26 grants to out-of-school time (OST) programs serving disadvantaged middle school youth through their Aim High grant program. The Aim High program is part of the New York Life Foundation’s ongoing investment in middle school OST programs to help economically disadvantaged eighth-graders reach ninth grade on time and prepare to succeed in high school. The grant program will fund afterschool, summer, and expanded learning programs in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, based on a competitive application process. This request for proposals will close on January 24, 2020.

Community Votes Youth Voter Engagement

Community Votes is offering a free program along with a $1500 mini-grant to support youth voter engagement projects focused on the 2020 election. Community Votes helps identify ways to integrate nonpartisan voter engagement activities - think voter registration drives, phone banking, canvassing, and creating voter guides, - within existing programs. This Train the Trainer model includes ongoing support for these voter engagement activities and concludes with a report on each organization's success in reaching and turning out voters. Reach out to Louisa Hackett, lhackett@communityvotes.org, with questions or fill out a brief application if you want to sign up.
