NYSACAC Summer Virtual College Fair

NYSACAC is hosting their first virtual college event for students and families across New York State on August 13, 2020 from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Students will have the opportunity to attend sessions on the virtual college search, what the move to test-optional means for their application, financial aid and financing college, starting the college essay, the Common Application, and more. Registration is now open.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for many young people. Some are missing major milestones in school. Others are grieving lost loved ones. ThriveNYC's guide lists free services that can support the mental health of people from birth to 24.

Youth Justice Summer & Arts Wellness Calendar

New York Youth Justice Initiative's Youth Justice Summer Arts & Wellness Calendar offers young people a menu of daily virtual programs to explore their interests and connect with others. Programs are mostly drop-in, and there is no cost to participants. Sessions are offered on weekdays through August 15, 2020 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Health and Safety for SAC Directors

Directors are responsible for hiring, training, and maintaining staff who provide a healthy and safe environment for children. This virtual course, from NYS Network for Youth Success, will help directors look at policies and procedures that reinforce high-quality health and safety practices. The course will take place over 5 sessions beginning on August 18, 2020. The course costs $225 and participants must attend all of the sessions. Learn more and register.
